Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has reached the quarterfinal of a grass tournament for the first time in his career. He has shown his game much more versatility and is not just a clay court specialist.

The Spaniard overcame Alex de Minaur 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 in a grueling second round match. He was also set as a 4/1 underdog to win the match, won after being a set down.
