Sebastian Korda v John Millman Head to Head
Korda beat Millman in their only meeting at Roland Garros this year.
Korda Looking to Improve Grass Record
World no. 41 Sebastian Korda brings a 6-3 grass court record to this year’s Eastbourne Open.
In his only grass event this year, Korda won his opening round match against Cristian Garin in Halle, but lost to Pablo Carreno Busta in the second round.
The 21-year-old was a quarterfinalist in Halle last year and also made it to the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2021, in what was his debut season on grass.
Korda will be looking to score more wins on the surface this year. He has an overall record of 17-12 this year, which includes a semifinal finish in Estoril and a last eight finish in Delray Beach.
Korda won his maiden title in Emilia-Romagna in 2021 and was also a runner-up in Delray Beach last year. But he is yet to reach a final this season. Can he make a deep run in Eastbourne?
Millman Qualifies for Main Draw
World No. 87 John Millman entered the main draw in Eastbourne with back-to-back straight set wins in the qualifiers.
The 33-year-old, who has a 4-4 record in the tournament, ousted Henri Laaksonen 6-2, 6-4 in the first qualifying round on Saturday and then defeated Liam Broady 6-4, 6-3 in the second qualifying round on Sunday.
The Australian has an overall record of 6-12 this year, delivering his best in Delray Beach, where he reached the final four stage.
This is Millman’s first tour level event on grass this year. He has a 1-2 record in the Challenger tournaments leading up to the Eastbourne Open.
