Founded in 1974, the Indian Wells Open is one the top tournaments in the world, and along with the Miami Masters, it has the biggest singles draw behind the Grand Slams. 96 players feature in the men’s and women’s singles draw and 1000 points are on offer for the winner of both, the men’s and singles competitions.
When will the Indian Wells Open 2023 Tickets be Released?
The BNP Paribas Open tickets for the 2023 edition have been released and are currently on sale.

ATP Indian Wells Masters & WTA Indian Wells Open Tickets Options

There are a few different types of Indian Wells Masters tickets:

As the name suggests, the daily tickets allow you to buy tickets for that particular day.
There are four types of daily tickets – the Stadium 1 Tickets and Stadium 2 Tickets. Reserved seats in Stadium 1 for Day and/or Evening Sessions allows you access to Non-Reserved seating in Stadiums 2-9 and to the tournament grounds.
Similarly, reserved tickets for Stadium 2 tickets allow you the same as above except the Stadium 1 access. Stadium 3 tickets allow you access to reserve seating in that court, non-reserved seating in Stadium 2 and Stadium 4-9 while Grounds Pass allows access to the grounds and to any of non-reserved seating from Stadium 2 to 9.
The tickets are available across five categories of seats – Prime Loge, Stadium Box, Courtside Box, Premium Courtside and Front Box. The last option is the best way to enjoy the action, and obviously the most pricey one.
Grounds pass tickets allow you access to Stadiums 2-9 but for an unreserved seating.
How to Buy Tickets for the Indian Wells Open?
Here’s a simple process to be able to buy the single session tickets for this tournament.

- Go to the Daily Tickets section under the Indian Wells tickets here.
- Scroll down and select your date/dates. Click on it and then click on Submit Selection
- Choose if you want to go with the Day Session or the Night Session or a Daily Double (i.e. both sessions)
- The ticket prices for those sessions are mentioned. Click on Select next to the tickets you want to buy
- A new screen will open up from where you can select the number of tickets, and the type of ticket (Ground Pass or Reserved Seating). Click on Find Ticket
- Choose how you want to receive your tickets; download the app and receive it there or get it mailed home for an extra $5. Click on Continue
- Create your account or if you already have one, log in to it and make the payment.
When it comes to packages, you have three deals to choose from – Mini Packages, Group Packages and Series Packages.
The Mini Packages comprise of several combinations of certain days of the tournaments. For example, there is the Kick-Off Weekend package, for the starting weekend.
Then, there’s the Mid-Week Package, followed by Evening and Championship Weekend Packages. These deals are suitable if you are looking to attend a specific section of the tournament, which in many cases, are the finals.
Indian Wells Masters Tickets Prices for 2023
So, how much do the Indian Wells Open tickets cost? The first two days, i.e. March 6 and 7, which will see ATP & WTA Qualifying, are free to attend.
Ticket price for a Grounds Pass for the third day onward is $30 while the prices go from $57 for a Stadium 1 ticket to $170 for Stadium 2.
This increases to $40 for Grounds Pass on March 9 and goes up to $60 between March 10 and 15 for the same. The Grounds Pass price reduces back to $40 for March 16, which is the last day when these passes are available.
Ticket cost for a Stadium 2 reserved seating on March 8 costs $170, while that for Stadium 1 is pegged at $57 and $82 for the day session. Stadium 3 reserved seating costs $105.
The same changes to $185, $82/$87 and $140 respectively for March 9 and $205, $72/$102 and $145 respectively for March 10.
The above are also the approximate rates for the rest of the days in the competition.
Mini Packages for Stadium 1 are also available with the prices as follows:

How to Get to Indian Wells for the tennis?
With a population of around 5000, Indian Wells is a city located in the Riverside County of the state of California. It was formed in 1967 and is located between Palm Desert and La Quinta. Indian Wells is about 124 miles away from Los Angeles.

If you are taking a flight from other parts of USA and Canada, your destination would be the Palm Springs International Airport (PSP). From this airport, the Indian Wells tennis arena would be 30-minute cab drive away.
If you are going to be driving down, then here’s how much time it would take to get to Indian Wells:
- From Palm Springs, CA: 30 mins
- From Los Angeles: 2.5 hrs
- From Ontario: 1.75 hrs
- From San Diego: 2.5 hrs
- From Scottsdale/Phoenix: 4.5 hrs

Other Information around watching the Indian Wells Open
Fans cannot bring their own alcohol to the tennis, but can buy it from inside the arena. Other than alcohol, weapons and any illegal substances are also not allowed inside.
Only service animals are allowed as pets inside the ground.
The maximum bag size allowed is 16”X16”X8” and will be searched for security reasons. Cameras without flash are allowed but photographs and videos can only be used for personal use. Day session gates open at 10 am while evening session entry begins at 4.30 pm local time.

2023 Indian Wells Masters & WTA Indian Wells Schedule
So when will the 2023 edition of the Indian Wells Open be played? The competition will be played in October with the exact dates to be released mid-June.
The 2020 edition of the competition was to begin from March 9 and played till March 22 but was then cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
And if you have always wanted to enjoy quality tennis featuring the best ranked players, then the Masters events are your best bet (Considering that the tickets at Grand Slams are sometimes rather costly).
