The men’s tennis schedule and the women’s tennis schedule for all year is mentioned below.
With coronavirus putting an end to tennis for a period of nearly five months, many of the tennis tournaments were cancelled as a result. However, the good news is tennis could return as early as August 3, as the ATP and WTA have announced an updated calendar for the rest of the season.
More updates will be made to it and this is subject to government approvals and things not changing for the worse in the respective countries.
The first tennis tournament to kick-start proceedings in the first week of August will be the Palermo Open on the WTA circuit before the Washington Open gets played on the men’s tour from August 14. The Cincinnati Open will be played in New York too, in the lead-up to the US Open which will be played from August 31.
That will be followed by Istanbul Open and Kitzbuhel Open, played alongside the second week of the US Open, before action moves to the clay season. The Madrid Open and Italian Open will be played before the French Open as will the Strasbourg Open.
Following the French Open, the Asian swing will, for now, see WTA competitions while the ATP tournaments are yet to be announced.
