Currently sitting on a career high ranking of no. 29, Cocciaretto will be making a second appearance at the US Open.

Juvan Saves 5 MPs to Qualify
World no. 146 Kaja Juvan saved five match points before going on to score a comeback win over Japan’s Himeno Sakatsume in the final qualifying round on Saturday.
Juvan was outplayed in the first set, but she clawed her way back into the contest. She fought back from 2-4 down in the second to force the tiebreak; then she saved five match points in the tiebreak, before clinching it 10-8.
She got the solitary break of the final set in the opening game, and held on to the lead to score a 2-6, 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 victory.
Juvan had beaten Laura Pigossi 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 in the first qualifying round and Haruka Kaji of Japan 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in the second qualifying round.
She is 4-5 at the tour level and 26-15 across levels.
This is her fourth main draw appearance at the US Open, and she has gone past the opening round on two occasions. Can she carry her qualifying round momentum to the main draw?
