Iga Swiatek v Kaja Juvan Head to Head

While Swiatek was able to make it through to the third round with a second successive straight-set win, it wasn’t one without any trouble.
In fact, Swiatek will be a tad worried about her serving which saw her get broken three times in the encounter despite her 6-3, 6-4 win in an hour and 35 minutes.
Swiatek lost her serve in the very first game of the match and then again after she had taken a 4-2 lead in the first set. Fortunately for her, Saville herself wasn’t strong enough with her serving and she was able to break her yet again to grab the opening set.
In the second, Swiatek drew first blood, only to lose her serve in the fourth game again. She would break back and manage to hold serve post that to win it but there would be question-marks whether her form is as impregnable as it was on clay earlier this year.
She is still an obvious 1/50 favourite (with bet365) to win this.

Juvan Continues to Fight On
Having never made it past the second round at the US Open before this, Juvan did that for the first time in her career as she came back from a set down to defeat Lauren Davis on Wednesday.
Juvan, who was forced to make it to the main draw through the qualifiers, needed two hours and 32 minutes to register a 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-3 win over Davis.
Having earlier stunned Elisabetta Cocciaretto in the first round, Juvan might have lost the first set but it took until very late in the second set for her to lose her serve for the first time in the match.
The Slovenian player, who was once ranked 58th in the world but has now fallen to 145th, clawed back into the encounter with two breaks of serves in the second set and another three in the third to clinch the win.
Can she now put up a fight against Swiatek on a surface which isn’t quite her most favourite? She is an 18/1 underdog (with bet365) here.

While a Swiatek win all but seems like a foregone conclusion we also think it wouldn’t be as straightforward as it was in the first round where she had dropped just a game. Can expect a bit of a fight from Juvan.
