Daria Saville v Katerina Siniakova Head to Head
The pair have met three times before, and so far Saville has a 100% winning record against her opponent, beating her in Hong Kong in 2016, in Birmingham in 2017, and again last year in Miami (although Siniakova did have to retire from their match on that occasion).

Saville’s Season Compromised by Injury
Saville’s season has been compromised by the ACL injury that she picked up last year, and prevented her returning to the tour before Wimbledon.
On the clay of Hamburg, she gave glimpses of the form she had shown before her injury, coming through the qualifying competition to reach the semi-finals.
Unfortunately for the Australian, she has not been able to put together a string of results to match that since.
She did reach the second round of the US Open, but then had the misfortune to meet Iga Swiatek.
Similarly, she did win her first match on Chinese soil, defeating the German Anna- Lina Friedsam in Guangzhou, before her progress was halted by the top seed Magda Linette.
But her interest in proceedings in Ningbo was ended at the first round stage by Yulia Putintseva.

Siniakova, One of the World’s Best Doubles Players
Siniakova is recognised as one of the best doubles players in the world,
With regular partner Barbora Krejcikova, she has won seven Grand Slam titles, Olympic gold, and the WTA finals. They are one of just a few select pairings to have won a Super Slam.
And, whilst she is less regarded when it comes to singles, the Czech has still won four WTA titles in her career, most recently in June on the grass of Bad Homburg, where she beat the Italian Lucia Bronzetti in the final.
Beaten in the second round of Wimbledon, Siniakova experienced a dip in form after that, and lost her next six matches.
However, she ended that run in Ningbo last week, reaching the quarter-finals before she was well beaten by Nadia Podoroska of Argentina.
Saville v Siniakova Prediction and Tip
Although Saville has won all their previous matches, they have not met since the Australian sustained the injury that has hampered her career progress. Siniakova’s confidence, which may have been dented by a string of losses, should be boosted by what she achieved in Ningbo, and can regard herself as favourite to end her losing run against the Australian.
