Can Dimitrov Continue Career Revival?
Dimitrov reached a career high of three in the world at the end of 2017 after winning the ATP Finals, and reaching the semi-finals in Melbourne, before losing to Rafael Nadal.
Then a combination of a loss of form and injuries saw him plummet down the rankings, and he begun the US Open last August a lowly 63 in the world, and given no chance. Despite that, he re-discovered his form and progressed all the way to the semi-finals, before losing to Daniil Medvedev, beating Roger Federer along the way.
he then went on to reach the semi-finals of the Paris Masters as well.
Looking to continue his career revival, he began the year playing for Bulgaria in the ATP Cup, where he beat Dan Evans of Great Britain and Radu Albot of Moldova, before going down to the Belgian David Goffin.
Londero Not Comfortable Away from Clay Courts
World number 51 London won his first ATP title last year, beating compatriot Guido Pella in Cordoba in his native Argentina in three sets, He then later in the year reached the final of the Swedish Open, where he lost to Nicolas Jarry of Chile, and enjoyed a run to the fourth round of the French Open, his best performance to date at a Grand Slam.
Significantly though, all those events were played on clay, and he has a much poorer records on other surfaces like the hard courts of Melbourne.
In his only competitive match of the year so far he was beaten by Dan Evans in the first round in Adelaide last week.
