The tournament itself will be held from Monday, July 2 as some of the top players from around the world are expected to feature in this third Grand Slam of the year. The men’s singles final that will be held on Sunday, July 15 will be the event-closer.
The tournament draw kick-started at 10 am local time (9 am GMT) in London, with the seeds announced on Tuesday, June 26 as mentioned below.

Men’s Draw at Wimbledon 2018:
Roger Federer will start off against world No 57 Dusan Lajovic while the French Open champion Rafael Nadal takes on world No 129 Dudi Sela in their respective openers.
Andy Murray, who has been out for some time because of a hip injury faces Benoit Paire in his opener before it becomes tougher for him as he potentially faces Denis Shapovalov in the second round and Juan Martin Del Potro after that.
Federer’s latter opponents could include Borna Coric in round four, Kevin Anderson or Sam Querrey in the quarters and Marin Cilic or Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-final. Novak Djokovic, Nadal and Alexander Zverev are all in the other half of the draw with the Serb facing Tennys Sandgren in his opener.
Stan Wawrinka will be up against Grigor Dimitrov in his opener while last year’s runner-up Marin Cilic faces Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka in another first round encounter.

Women’s Draw at Wimbledon 2018:
The women’s opening round encounters will see the world number one Simona Halep face Kurumi Nara in her opener, while Britain’s Johanna Konta takes on Natalia Vikhlyantseva in her first round match.
Defending women’s singles champion Garbine Muguruza plays Naomi Brady while former champion Maria Sharapova takes on countrywoman Vitalia Diatchenko in their respective first round matches. Sharapova could play Jelena Ostapenko in round three of the tournament.
Serena Williams opens with a match against Aranxta Rus, while Caroline Wozniacki plays Varvara Lepchenko, Madison Keys takes on Ajla Tomljanovic, Elina Svitolina faces Tatjana Maria and Sloane Stephens will be up against Donna Vekic.
