Filip Krajinovic v Enzo Couacaud Predictions & Preview

This is the first meeting between both players. In fact, this is the first match for Couacaud from Mauritius, on the tour.

Serbian Krajinovic has had a good record on the indoor surfaces, including being a finalist at the Paris Masters in 2017.

Krajinovic ran into Roger Federer in the second round of the Australian Open which ended in a straight sets win for the Swiss maestro. The Serb will be looking for a better run here in Montpelier this week.

After a successful run at the juniors and Challengers, young Couacaud from Mauritius will be pleased to have qualified for the main draw and look to seek more such opportunities.

Alexander Bublik v Henri Laaksonen Predictions & Preview

Kazhakstan’s Alexander Bublik meets Swiss Henrik Laaksonen for the first time on the tour.

After having been successful at the ATP Challengers and ITF Futures, Bublik with his unconvential personality and playing style, has had a strong last two seasons.

Not only did he break through into the top 50 in the world (currently down to 54) in the ATP rankings, Bublik was also a two time ATP finalist in 2019, on the grass courts of the Newport Hall of Fame, and at the Chengdu Open during the Asian swing.

Bublik will be looking for another strong season and his game should be well suited to the indoor courts here in France.

Swiss Laaksonen has largely spent his career in the shadows of Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka.

Just as he seemed to be taking over the reigns of Swiss Davis Cup representation, his career was marred by controversy related to the Davis Cup.

The Swiss has attempted to make a comeback on the tour in 2019 with minimal success thus far. Being still ranked just within the top 100 in the world, Laaksonen will be hoping for a more favorable 2020.

Bublik has been on the rise and in fairly consistent form, and in a better place with his career than Laaksonen.

Expect a straight sets win for the Kazakh.

Pierre – Hugues Herbert v Sergiy Stakhovsky Predictions & Preview

The players have met three times with Frenchman Herbert winning on all occasions.

Their first two meetings were on the hard courts in 2015, which Herbert won in straight sets. Last year, Herbert also won a three setter between both at Halle.

Doubles specialist and winner of all major titles as a doubles player, Herbert has looked to focus more on his singles game beginning 2019. The Frenchman has met with success on the faster hard, indoor and grass courts.

Herbert is looking to break into the top 50 on the singles tour and his continued hard work and commitment should assist him prevail.

Stakhovsky has been on the tour for more than a decade and during that time done well to move up to just outside the top 30 in the world at one point.

Winner of four ATP titles, the Ukranian will be best remembered for defeating Roger Federer in the second round of Wimbledon 2013, which still remains one of the greatest upsets of all time.

Stakhovsky has had poor form and fitness in recent times and is ranked 145th in the world and will be looking for a revival to his career here on.

Expect Herber to win in straight sets.
