Diego Schwartzman v Federico Delbonis Head to Head
This will be the eighth time that Schwartzman and Pella will be facing off in a match and the former leads 4-3 on head to head. Six of these matches have come on clay and Schwartzman has won three, including their latest match on that surface at the 2018 Rio Open. All of Delbonis’ wins against Schwartzman had come in 2015-16.
Schwartzman Coming off a Decent Cordoba Campaign
Speaking of Cordoba and runner-up, Schwartzman finished up one at this year’s tournament last week. He registered a couple of solid wins, then needed three sets to overcome Laslo Djere in the semifinal before pouching the first set in the final against Cristian Garin.
Garin, however, roared back to defeat the Argentine in three sets and take home the win.
Schwartzman hadn’t had the best of the starts to the year though, having lost three of his four matches at the ATP Cup. His only win came against Borna Coric, so getting into the Australian Open, Schwartzman might not have been at his best, confidence-wise.
That being the case, he did well to win three rounds before he was faced with the might of Novak Djokovic and went out in straight sets.

Delbonis Yet to Get Going This Year
In the six main draw matches he has played this year, Delbonis has won just two, including one in this competition. He comes into this second round meeting on the back of a three-set win over Hugo Dellien after having lost the first set.
And even that match might have relegated him to a loss had it not been for Dellien losing nerve at crucial stages in the encounter. And given Delbonis is a clay-court specialist, it doesn’t augur too well for him he had also lost in the first round at Cordoba last week.
That itself had followed an opening loss at the Noumea Challenger and the Adelaide International and a rare first round win at the Australian Open – his only other victory this year. Then he faced Rafael Nadal and was sent packing in straight sets by the 19-time Grand Slam winner.
Diego Schwartzman v Federico Delbonis Predictions & Tips
Not only does Schwartzman start off as a huge favourite in this one with offers of a mere 1/5, he is also 4/7 to win in straight sets. We will go for a medium-risky option of more than 20.5 games to be played in this match though as Delbonis looks to bring out all his experience to give his superior opponent a fight.
Tip: More than 20.5 games in the match: 19/20 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
