Felix Auger-Aliassime v Aljaz Bedene Head to Head

This is the first meeting between both players.

Auger-Aliassime Looking At A Deep Run

Nineteen-year old Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime sprung onto the scene in the last two seasons and has performed remarkably to have reached a career high world number 17 ranking in late 2019. He is currently ranked just outside the top 20 in the world.

2019 saw Auger-Aliassime reach three ATP finals, in Rio, Lyon and the grass courts of Stuttgart. The young Canadian also recorded impressive wins throughout the year against players of the calibre of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Nick Kyrgios and Grigor Dimitrov among others.

Auger-Aliassime led Canada to the Davis Cup finals in November 2019 and the final eight of the inaugural ATP Cup last month. The teenager did not have the best of Australian Opens losing out on Day One, and his Montpellier campaign last week, was cut short rather prematurely as well.

The Canadian has had a much improved week where he recovered well to defeat Jan-Lennard Struff in the opener and then had a convincing win against Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the last round.

Beene Coming Off Biggest Win Of Career

Veteran Bedene has been on the tour for a considerable amount of time and although he has put in several solid performances, has never managed to maintain the consistency to move him up further in the rankings and has continued to remain just outside the top 50 in the world.

The Slovakian has reached one ATP final in each of the last three years but not managed to win his first title yet.

Bedene’s 2020 got off to another insipid start with a few round of 32 losses, and a second round exit in Melbourne, at the Australian Open.

However, the Rotterdam campaign thus far has seen him defeat Frenchman Benoit Paire in the opener and follow it up with a straight sets win against second seed and world number six Greek sensation Stefanos Tsitsipas. The win over Tsitsipas will probably qualify as one of the biggest (if not the biggest) wins of his career.

Bedene has hit some of his best form and will look to make the most of it here on this week.

Felix Auger-Aliassime v Aljaz Bedene Predictions & Tips

The players have never met, are not familiar with each other’s game and have different playing styles.

Both have however been in good form this week, and Bedene will be coming in with a  lot of confidence, after his most recent win against Tsitsipas.

Expect a close encounter with the young Canadian prevailing in three sets.
