Fucsovics Hoping To Hone In On Good Aussie Open Run
Hungarian Marton Fucsovics has had a strong last two seasons where he won his first ATP title in Geneva, was a finalist in Sophia, and followed it by reaching his highest ATP Ranking of 31 in mid-2019.
Despite a lackluster end to 2019, Fucscovics ran into good form at the Australian Open last month, making the fourth round of a major for the second time, after a similar run in Melbourne in 2018.
Defeating rising Next Gen Canadian Denis Shapovalov, young teenager Jannik Sinner and young American Tommy Paul, Fucsovics’ Australian Open ended at the hands of Swiss maestro Roger Federer in four sets.
The Hungarian has had early round losses since, at both Rotterdam and Marseille, and will be looking for a better run this week in Dubai.
