Milos Raonic v Aljaz Bedene Head to Head
Raonic has a dominant, unblemished record against Bedene winning all three matches they have contested in their series, and has dropped only one set in the process.
Those meetings range across all surfaces, having met on the clay of Istanbul, the hard courts of Brisbane and the grass of London’s Queen’s Club.

Raonic to Put St. Petersburg Disappointment Behind Him
Milos Raonic is determined to end his 2020 season on a high and he is putting all his eggs in one basket in an effort to win a first ATP title in four years.
His form since the tour’s restart has been brilliant especially on hard courts where he made the finals of the Western & Southern Open and the semifinals of St. Petersburg.
Raonic’s sole participation on clay came at the Rome Masters where he was beaten in the second round and elected to withdraw from the French Open altogether, a decision which was more preventative owing to the coronavirus pandemic rather than injury-related.
Nonetheless, the Canadian was never expected to set the world alight on the red dirt and his decision to focus on the indoor hard courts could bear fruit. He was very close in St. Petersburg last week where he played some superb tennis beating a trio of dangerous players including J.J. Wolf, Alexander Bublik and Karen Khachanov.
And despite racing to a 6-1 first set lead against Coric in the last four, he did not manage to keep his level up for long, with Croatian finding his rhythm and taming the big-serving Canadian in three sets.
Still, there were plenty of positives for the former world no.3 to take from Russia and he could return to the world’s top-20 with a strong showing in Antwerp.

Bedene Not Far Off To Re-Enter World’s Top 50
Fresh from a third round showing at the French Open where he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas, Aljaz Bedene will return to competitive action on the indoor hard courts of Antwerp.
Bedene took advantage of a very kind draw in the opening two rounds in Paris, beating Arthur Rinderknech and Nicola Milojevic to make the third round of a Grand Slam for the fourth time in his career.
The Slovenian seems to save his best tennis for last and the past couple of seasons concur with this theory. He won his only title in 2018 towards the end of the season at the Orleans Challenger, and last year he finished runner-up in Metz.
Bedene’s two quarterfinal appearances in Doha and Rotterdam earlier this year solidified his place in the world’s top-50, but he was only there momentarily before the tour was suspended. If he can weave off the best tennis that he normally produces at this time of the year, he could not be far off from reaching the highest ceiling in his career – world no.43 – which he attained in 2018.
Raonic v Bedene Prediction and Tip
Raonic has all the momentum to streak through this week. Judging by the caliber of opponents on offer, he should be the overwhelming favorite to win the title. Expect him to breeze past a rusty Bedene in this one.
Tip: Raonic to win in straight sets: 5/6 (bet365)
