Diego Schwartzman v Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head
Interestingly and surprisingly, this is going to be the first time Schwartzman and Auger-Aliassime clash against each other.

How Did Schwartzman Win That?
There was only one way Schwartzman’s quarterfinal match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina was headed – in favour of his Spanish opponent. Down a set after Fokina had served it out to love at 5-2, Schwartzman looked like he was done for the tournament when he was broken twice, in the fifth and the seventh game of the second set to allow Fokina to serve for the match.
Fokina had a match-point in the eighth game, but was broken. He then had another chance to serve it out at 5-4 but suffered another break. Not to be outdone though, Fokina broke Schwartzman again to get his third chance to serve it out.
Again, no respite and he was broken. So was his resistance by the looks of things as the set into a tie-breaker which he went on to lose 7-3.
Schwartzman, who had had no difficulties overcoming Oscar Otte in the previous round, then raced off to a double-break of his own in the third set before closing it out 6-1 to finish off a stunning win in three.
The Argentine will know, however, he would need to be switched on way before he did against Fokina when he takes on the in-form Auger-Aliassime in his semifinal.

Auger-Aliassime Inching Towards Another Final
After a poor run on clay, Auger-Aliassime has managed to make it back to form with a switch in the surface as he enters his second successive semifinal in as many weeks in Cologne.
The Canadian, who had endured a close match in the second round against Egor Gerasimov after a first round bye, didn’t waste too much time getting past the fighting Japanese player Yoshihito Nishioka, winning 6-3, 6-4.
The first set looked like it go either way when the players shared four breaks of serves over the first four games, but a timely break in the eighth game of the opener helped the Canadian to serve it out for the set.
It was far easier in the second. Auger-Aliassime broke once, in the very first game and then did not show any signs of letting off on serve. While he found it tougher to break again as the set progressed that was all he needed to complete a straight set win.
Schwartzman v Auger-Aliassime Prediction and Tip
Indoors, Auger-Aliassime has a better overall record than Schwartzman but the latter’s recent experience across different situations will keep him in a good stead. If Schwartzman gets off to a good start, he will be a better bet to win this as compared to Auger-Aliassime as a result of that.
Interestingly, both start at 10/11 to win this.
Tip: Schwartzman to win: 10/11 (bet365)
