What Happened at the 2019 ATP Moselle?
The title was won by France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who was looking to feature in as many tournaments to try and get his rhythm back from his injury problems. He defeated Aljaz Bedene in a rip-roaring final that lasted three sets and included two tie-breakers to clinch the title.
Bedene had earlier got past the seventh seeded Gilles Simon in the second round, who was the defending champion. In the semifinal Bedene defeated Benoit Paire to set up the finals clash with Tsonga who was himself an unseeded player and overcame Nikoloz Basilashvili and Lucas Pouille to make the final.
