Grigor Dimitrov v Adrian Mannarino Head to Head
Dimitrov has a 2-0 lead over Mannarino. The Bulgarian won the first time at the Delray Beach quarterfinal in 2016 and then in Acapulco in the Round of 16 last year.

Dimitrov Will Aim For Another Title in Acapulco
2014 Acapulco Open champion Grigor Dimitrov will begin his 2021 campaign on Tuesday.
The World No. 16 comes into the tournament with a 6-2 record this year, which includes a run to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, where, hampered by a back injury, he went down to Aslan Karatsev despite winning the first set.
The 2017 ATP Finals champion had also reached the quarterfinals in his first event of the year at the Murray River Open.
Playing his first tournament since the Australian Open, the former World No. 3 will be hoping to reproduce last year’s Acapulco form this year as well.
Beginning with a win over Bosnia’s Damir Dzumhur, Dimitrov knocked out Adrian Mannarino in the next round and third seed Stan Wawrinka in the quarterfinal to reach the semifinal of the Mexican Open last year. However, he couldn’t reach a second final in Acapulco after he went down to eventual champion Rafael Nadal in straight sets.
In 2014, Dimitrov had won the Acapulco title by defeating Andy Murray in the semifinal and Kevin Anderson in the title clash.
The Bulgarian, who has won eight titles in his career, including four in 2017, has been without a title since his ATP Finals win that year.
He had a solid 2020 season, finishing 18-11 with runs to the semifinals in Acapulco and Antwerp and the last eight in Rome and Vienna.

Mixed Year for Mannarino
Facing Dimitrov in the first round will be 10-time ATP finalist Adrian Mannarino.
The French left-hander, who won his only title at ’s-Hertogenbosch in 2019, is 4-5 this year.
Having started the season with a defeat to Cameron Norrie at the Delray Beach Open, the World No. 34 won his first match of the season at the Murray River Open against Mikael Ymer before going down to Marcos Giron.
At the Australian Open, the 32-year-old Frenchman won two matches in a row for the second time in 12 main draw appearances, beating Dennis Novak and Miomir Kecmanovic in the first two rounds, but went down in straight sets to Alexander Zverev.
Seeded No. 1 at the Singapore Open, Mannarino reached the last eight with a win over Italy’s Roberto Marcora, but faltered in the quarterfinal against Moldova’s Radu Albot.
Mannarino’s last tournament in Rotterdam also ended in disappointment as he was sent packing by Hubert Hurkacz in the first round.
In 2020, the Frenchman went 14-17, finishing runner-up in Nur Sultan and reaching the semifinals in Sofia.
Dimitrov v Mannarino Prediction and Tip
The in-form Dimitrov will hold the edge. He has more experience, is the higher-ranked player and has a 2-0 head to head advantage. Above all, the Bulgarian has been in good form recently and will look to continue building on that. Mannarino, meanwhile, will take heart from the manner in which he lost to Dimitrov in Acapulco last year, going down 7-6 (10-8), 2-6, 6-7 (2-7).
Tip: Dimitrov to win in three sets: 3/1 (bet365)
