Hubert Hurkacz v Denis Kudla Head to Head

Hurkacz, who was given a bye in the first round, won his second ATP career title earlier this year in Delray Beach. He would, therefore, have been disappointed to lose in the first round of the Australia Open, beaten by the Swede Mikael Ymer, and at the same stage in Montpellier.
The Pole did better in Rotterdam getting to the second round before losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas, but not before pushing the Greek to three sets in a tight match. More recently, he beat Richard Gasquet in Dubai, but his run there was ended by Denis Shapovalov in straight sets.
The last time he played in Miami he got to the third round, and if does progress through this match, faces a potential reunion with Shapovalov.

Kudla Makes Rare Appearance on Senior ATP Tour
Ukrainian-born Kudla spends most of his time on the Challenger Tour, where he ahs won nine tournaments, the most recent of which was in Cary, USA, last November.
He failed to qualify for the Australian Open this year, and his only previous appearance in the main draw of an ATP event was in Acapulco, where he lost to the Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor in the first round.
However, he pulled off a minor upset in the first-round here by beating Jeremy Chardy of France, the world 49.
The first set went with serve until Kudla dropped his, and Chardy served out from there.
The second set was a mirror image of the first, with the crucial difference that this time it was Kudla who achieved the only break.
And, in the third set, Kudla forced another break and was never seriously threatened again.
Hurkacz v Kudla Prediction and Tip
Kudla has done well to get this far, but he is playing a man who was won a career title this year. Hurkacz has not matched those heights since, but now would be a good time to begin to start.
