John Millman v Dan Evans Head to Head
The pair have never met before. This will be the first match between the 31-year old Australian, and Evans, who is one year younger.

Millman is making his second appearance in the second round in Madrid, having never appeared in the main draw there prior to 2019. And he got there the hard way, after coming from behind to beat Hubert Hurkacz of Poland, the number 12 seed and winner of the Miami Masters.
The first set was dominated by serve and there was only one break offered, which Hurkasz took to claim the early advantage.
The pattern continued in the second set, and this time there was nothing to separate them, with the set going into a tie-break. Hurkacz appeared to have things in his grasp when he had three match points, but Millman saved them all, and then broke to level the match.
When Millman lost his serve at the start of the third set, the Australian must have feared the worst. But he bided his time, broke back to even the match up once more, and then broke the Pole again to lead for the first time in the match.
He then served out to claim the win after nearly two and half hours in court.

Evans Unexpected Clay Court Success Continues
Famously, before the Monte Carlo Masters this year, the British number one had not won a senior match on clay for four years. He defied expectations there by reaching the semi-finals, and, on Tuesday, claimed another victim on his least favourite surface.
His match with Jeremy Chardy of France was long and tough, and Evans had to overcome the setback of having three match points saved before finally getting the job done.
All that, though, was in the future after a first set which saw the pair swapped breaks before the set was decided by a tie-break, Evans eventually clinching it.
With Chardy serving to stay in the match in the second set, Evans had his first match point, but the Frenchman saved it, and yet another tie-break was required to separate the two. Evans had two more match points, but Chardy not only saved them, but broke himself to square the contest.
The British player, however, regrouped, and broke Chardy early in the third set. He then consolidated his lead with another break and was finally able to close out the match, converting the second of two more match points.
Millman v Evans Prediction and Tip
This is a contest between two men not known for their ability on clay. Both men were pushed to the limit in their first-round matches, but will be buoyed having come through in adversity. However, Evans is tipped to maintain his clay court run.
