Alexander Zverev v Oscar Otte Head to Head
Zverev and Otte have never faced off in a competitive match against each other before this.

Zverev Starts with Confidence
One of the top five favourites to win the tournament, Zverev is also one of the two favourites to make it to the final having been draw in a separate half as the Big Three, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
And he has a couple of really easy matches first up, starting with a qualifier in the form of Otte and then another in round two between Roman Safiullin and Carlos Taberner.
And it’s not just about facing qualifiers that makes Zverev’s task easier – he has already shown this season what he is capable of, irrespective of which surface he is playing on.
At the Acapulco Open on hard courts, Zverev defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets in the final to win his first title of the season. And then in Madrid, Zverev shocked Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem in back to back matches on clay to go on to win his second tournament of the year.
Can Zverev now kick-start the competition with a kind of win that sends out a strong message to the other opponents?

Otte Storms into Main Draw
Like everyone else, Otte had to win three qualifiers to get to the main draw but the manner in which he did that should give him some hope. Hope of being able to put up a fight against Zverev.
In the six sets he needed to win those three matches, Otte dropped a mere 12 games and was tested in just one of the sets. This very month, Otte had also made it as far as the final of a Challenger competition on clay in Prague, where he fell to Tallon Griekspoor.
Before that, however, Otte’s form hadn’t been top-notch, and that had seen him slide from a season high of 140th in the world to 162nd before settling in at 152 at the moment.
The German’s only win at a Grand Slam had come at this very competition in 2019, as opposed to having never featured in the main draw at any other major. Unfortunately for him, he faces one of the current best in the world first up.
Zverev v Otte Prediction and Tip
There is only one way we see this going and that’s in straight sets to Zverev. Otte’s preference for clay might help him stay in the contest for a bit, but it’s tough to see him win a set.
Tip: Zverev to win in straight sets: 1/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
