Berrettini With Title Run In Mind
Matteo Berrettini started 2021 on the right note leading Italy to the finals of the ATP Cup and looking good at the Aussie Open before a round of 16 withdrawal against Stefanos Tsitsipas with an injury.
Berrettini missed a number of tournaments after the Aussie Open and made his return on the clay. He has been in good touch winning the ATP 250 in Belgrade, his fourth career title and continuing his good form to make the finals at the Madrid Masters, losing a tight final to Alexander Zverev. The Italian made the final eight at Roland Garros where he put up an impressive showing against world number one Novak Djokovic, before the Serb prevailed in a tight four setter.
After a good clay season, Berrettini comes to grass confident with fond memories of the season in 2019. The Italian was the winner at Stuttgart, runner-up at Halle and made the fourth round at Wimbledon before losing out to Roger Federer.
Top- seed here at the Queen’s Club, Berrettini was pushed to a tight opener by countryman Stefano Travaglia but prevailed in two tiebreaks. He played two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray in the next round and won comfortably. Into the final eight, the world number nine will be looking for a title run this weekend here onwards.

Evans Starts Strong On Grass
World No. 27 Daniel Evans has had a good season thus far with a 12-10 record heading into the grass swing. Evans finally captured his maiden ATP title; reached a career-high ranking; defeated a World No. 1 for the first time and earned six wins on clay (6-5 so far) having won just four in his entire career before the start of 2021.
The 31-year-old right-hander had made it to two ATP finals before 2021, but failed to win either of them losing in Sydney and at Delray Beach in 2017 and 2019 respectively. He reached a third career final at the Murray River Open earlier this year and finally managed to capture his first title after beating Felix Auger Aliassime in the final.
However, Evans hit poor form at the indoor and hard court season earlier this year and went on a five match losing streak. He finally regained form at Monte-Carlo, reaching his first Masters 1000 semifinal. He also clinched the biggest win of his career in the tournament, knocking out the top seed Novak Djokovic in the Round of 16. Evans was, however, denied a place in the final after a straight sets defeat to Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Briton also made a maiden appearance in the Round of 16 in Madrid.
Having made it to the third round at Wimbledon in both 2017 and 2019, Evans is no stranger to the grass and has done well on the surface in the past. He has looked good this week defeating Alexei Popyrin and Adrian Mannarino in straight sets and will hope to extend his run here further into the weekend.
Berrettini v Evans Prediction and Tip
An exciting match ahead with both men expected to do well on the surface; it will depend on who is better on the day and more so on the big points. The Berrettini serve will be crucial and should see him through in a decider.
