Cori Gauff v Angelique Kerber Head to Head
Gauff and Kerber have not played each other in a competitive match before this.

Gauff Continues to Rip Opponents Open
Such has been Gauff’s brilliance, she has gone into each of her previous three rounds at 3/10 or lower odds and lived up to them by winning in straight sets.
After destroying Francesca Jones and Elena Vesnina in the first two rounds, it was the turn of Kaja Juvan to face the music as Gauff cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 win.
In a match lasting just over an hour, Gauff raced off to a 4-0 lead in the opener to set the marker and while Juvan did manage to pull one of those breaks back, the American wrapped up the set soon after.
The second set was a more straightforward affair for Gauff, who broke her opponent in the third game and then held on till the eighth. And in the next, she broke Juvan again to finish off the encounter, five aces and 21 winners punctuating her victory.
She will now be aiming for her second successive Grand Slam quarterfinal, having got that far at French Open as well but up against her is an experienced, in-form and a former winner.

Kerber 9-1 Since Grass Swing
It was turning out to be another disappointing season for Kerber as she lurched from one defeat to another and marking the odd win here or there. Before the start of the grass swing she had lost nine of the 17 matches she had played with her quarterfinals at Grampians Trophy and third round in Rome being her only occasions she managed back to back wins.
And even as she started off the grass swing with a second round defeat at the hands of Victoria Azarenka in Berlin, things weren’t looking too good.
The turnaround has been spectacular since. A title victory at Bad Homburg, which included wins over Amanda Anisimova, Petra Kvitova and Katerina Siniakova, has now been followed by back to back victories at Wimbledon.
The last of these wins came against Aliaksandra Sasnovich and while it wasn’t a straightforward one, Kerber would be pleased to have made it through 2-6, 6-0, 6-1 to set up this meeting with Gauff.
Gauff’s game has evolved to another level and so has her consistency but can Kerber use her consistency to make it through?
Gauff v Kerber Prediction and Tip
This has Gauff starting off as a favourite at 8/11 but Kerber will be very much in the contest. In fact we believe Kerber could start out very strongly and test Gauff early before the American can turn things around.
Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
