Alexander Zverev v Felix Auger- Aliassime Head to Head
The players have met three times, with Zverev winning in straight sets on all occasions. The players have met on hard courts and on clay and yet to meet on grass.

Alexander Zverev may have taken a couple seasons to get consistent at the majors, but he seems to be on a run now at the slams. A finalist at the US Open last year, Zverev made the quarter-finals at Melbourne and then the semi-finals in Paris already this year. With a good run in week one, he is eying the business end of a major yet once again here at the All England Tennis Club.
After a smooth first two rounds, Zverev ran into American Taylor Fritz who is on a miracle run having had knee surgery after the French Open last month and surprised all by even being fit to play at Wimbledon, forget making it to the round of 32.
Fritz took the first set in a tiebreak and looked like pushing the German in the second when he broke back for 3-3, but clinical Zverev tennis got him the next two sets 6-4, 6-3. An evenly fought fourth set followed, with both players serving well as the match headed to another tiebreak. The fourth seed upped the ante in the breaker and closed it 7-4 to capture the match in four sets.
Zverev is headed into the second week of the championships and eyed as a strong favorite to make the final from the bottom half of the draw.

Auger-Aliassime Lucky With Kyrgios Injury
After back to back solid performances on the grass courts of Stuttgart and Halle in the lead-up to Wimbledon, Auger-Aliassime won successive matches to reach the third round at this competition for the second time in a row – emulating his Wimbledon-best from 2019. After a fairly straightforward opener, he was tested by young Swede Mikael Ymer in the second round and did well to come out strong when the going got tight and prevail in four sets.
The Canadian was up against none other than the Aussie maverick Nick Kyrgios in the round of 32, who had entertained crowds in the first two rounds including a 9-7 fifth set win against Halle champion Ugo Humbert.
Kyrgios was off to a blazing start winning the first set 6-2 serving big but then suffered an abdominal injury at the end of the opening set that needed a medical timeout and saw him lose the power on the serve at the start of the second.
Auger-Aliassime ran through the set 6-1, with Kyrgios clearly impaired and struggling on the serve with movement, and the Aussie withdrew soon thereafter with a lucky win for the Canadian and an unfortunate end to what may have been a match full of fireworks.

Both players have been in good touch in recent weeks, and the Canadian has had an especially good run on the grass since Stuttgart onwards. However, Zverev is proving his consistency on the big stage and should prevail here too. Expect a straight sets win for the German
