Ash Barty v Angelique Kerber Head to Head
There have been four previous matches on the WTA circuit between these two and while both have won two apiece, none of them came after 2018. And all the matches came on hard court surfaces.

Barty Banishes Fellow Aussie
When asked whom would she prefer to play in the semifinal between Ajla Tomljanovic and Emma Raducanu, Barty shunned diplomacy to vouch for her Aussie counterpart.
May be she knew the formula to dismantle Tomljanovic and preferred that to the unknown quantity of Raducanu because it did seem like the world number one had come very well-prepared to take down the fellow Aussie with some ease.
Because that’s exactly what she did, crushing Tomljanovic 6-1, 6-3 in an hour and eight minutes to seal her third career Grand Slam semifinal.
Barty broke her opponent six times in the encounter and while she did take time to get going in the second set, the world number one did enough to get past her fellow Aussie compatriot.
Having earlier sent the French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova packing in straight sets in the fourth round, Barty will now face the former winner in the semifinal but given her form and confidence, all that history might not matter too much.

Kerber Mauls Muchova to Enter Fourth Wimbledon Semifinal
Kerber is one of the very few current players to have won three Grand Slam titles, all of which came in different competitions. Grass, however, is by far her favourite surface and Wimbledon the tournament she has done well at this consistently having made it to the semifinal here for the fourth time.
Question is whether she can now enter the final the third time.
Form, which has not always been on Kerber’s side in recent times, looks to have turned a corner with the German having already defeated Cori Gauff and Karolina Muchova in this competition.
The second of those wins came in the quarterfinal, when in a mere hour and 17 minutes, Kerber demolished the Australian Open semifinalist Muchova 6-2, 6-3. Kerber was broken just once in the entire match and immediately after that came in the second set it was followed by successive breaks for the German.
All in all it was one of her most convincing performances in recent times against a player of the pedigree of Muchova.
Can she follow it up with another against the world number one though?
Barty v Kerber Prediction and Tip
Interesting to note that while Barty is a favourite, she is 2/5 to win this, which, to us represent decent odds for her win. Expecting Barty to come away with a win but it might not be a straightforward one.
