Daniil Medvedev v Alexander Bublik Head to Head
Medvedev holds a 2-0 lead over Bublik on the ATP Tour, last defeating him in the Paris Slam a few months back in straight sets.
The duo also met in the Tokyo Olympics round two, where the Russian won 6-4, 7-6(6).

Medvedev, Starting as Top Seed in Rogers Cup
World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev has had an astonishing season so far – something that can be neatly summarised with a win-loss tally of 32-9.
He arrived in Toronto on the back of a quarterfinal appearance in the Olympics where he succumbed to Pablo Carreno Busta. Looking at Medvedev’s overall season, there are only a handful of tournaments where the 25-year-old hasn’t impressed or reached the latter stages.
The Russian was a quarterfinalist in the Miami Open and the French Open, and also reached the Round of 16 in Wimbledon and Madrid Masters. Additionally, Medvedev has featured in four singles finals this season – Australian Open (where he fell to Novak Djokovic), Open 13, Mallorca Open, and the ATP Cup. The top seed won the final matches in the other three tournaments to cement his position in the top 5.

Bublik, Struggling to Find his Footing Of Late
World No. 39 Alexander Bublik is certainly a promising player who, at the moment, is battling mediocrity and form woes. The 24-year-old Kazakh was the runner-up in the Antalya Open and Singapore Open, in addition to being the quarterfinalist in Miami and Madrid.
Since June-July, however, Bublik has struggled to deliver deep runs – he fell in the third round in Eastbourne and Wimbledon and ended up losing his opening-round fixtures in Tokyo and ATP Washington. That said, he did reach the semifinal in Newport between these events where she lost to Kevin Anderson in three sets.
On the whole, Bublik will be pleased with the season he has had so far, having cracked the top 40 on the back of his consistent runs.
Medvedev v Bublik Prediction and Tip
Medvedev holds a perfect record against Bublik and it is quite unlikely for the Kazakh to break that jinx here. Expect Medvedev to win this one in straight sets.
