In the third, Donskoy had a chance to serve out the set but Auger-Aliassime broke back and forced another tie-breaker before a fourth set tie-breaker saw the Canadian save a set-point, miss two match-points and finally win it.

Lucky Loser Zapata Miralles Overcomes Lopez
Having lost his final qualifying round match to Oscar Otte, Zapata Miralles made it to the main draw of this year’s US Open at the expense of Milos Raonic who is still recovering from his string of injuries.
And Zapata Miralles then needed five sets to get Spanish veteran Feliciano Lopez and carve out a rare win in the main draw of a tournament this season, and his first ever at US Open.
He was on court for three hours and 18 minutes to clinch a 5-7, 7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory, getting broken just twice in the encounter.
Coming up against the world number 15 now, Zapata Miralles might not have it too easy but he will hope some of the confidence from his opening round win can rub off on him.
