UK fans will not be able to watch any more ATP tennis on Sky Sports and that has left them angry.
The ATP World Tour Finals was the last event that was broadcast on Sky Sports in the region after they lost the rights to future tennis tournaments to Amazon, leaving tennis fans angry they won’t be able to watch the likes of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer on their subscribed Sky Sports again.
Sky Sports tweeted to the quartet of Djokovic, Federer, Nadal and Andy Murray after the World Tour Finals, thanking them for all the memories in what was sort of a final goodbye, at least till the time they don’t have the tennis rights any more.
This tweet did not have go down well with the fans who were angered by Sky Sports’ decision to prioritise Premier League football over tennis. Incidentally, Sky Sports also do not hold the rights to Champions League and La Liga football along with Ashes cricket.
A tennis fan tweeted back to Sky Sports:
“Losing the rights to showing 3 of the greatest ever in their sport to spend more on showing Huddersfield vs Cardiff and the like. Absolute joke.”
Some of the others who tweeted were happy to reveal they were looking to end their subscription with Sky Sport as a result of the news.

Geo-blocking obviously applies and you will need to have a funded account to be able to do so but given the number of sports events that are live with them, it’s something worth thinking about.
