Hubert Hurkacz v Frances Tiafoe Head to Head
Hurkacz and Tiafoe have been involved in three career head-to-head meetings till date, with the latter holding a slender 2-1 lead over the former. Their last meeting came in the quarter-finals of the 2019 Winston-Salem Open, which saw Hurkacz scraping to a win in three sets.

While in between his string of success he suffered a second-round exit at the US Open and recorded a last-16 finish at the San Diego Open, those were mere blips on the radar which did little to affect his momentum and rhythm.
Carrying his glittering run of form into the Indian Wells Masters, the World No.12 Pole opened his campaign against emerging Australian Alexei Popyrin.
Playing like a worthy title-contender, Hurkacz produced scintillating tennis to pocket the opening set in no time. Wary of taking his foot off the pedal, the Pole kept up the heat on Popyrin in the second to ease to a 6-1, 7-5 win.
However, his real test begins now as he will battle his nemesis in recent years, American Frances Tiafoe, for a place in the last 16 on Monday.
What makes this a challenging affair for the Pole is the fact that he currently trails 1-2 in career head-to-head count against Tiafoe and knows that he has to be at his absolute best to get the result in his favor on Monday.

Tiafoe Routs Korda
Roared on by a partisan crowd, Tiafoe registered his best Grand Sla showing with a last-16 finish at the US Open. His run included a second-round win over seasoned Argentine Guido Pella followed by a stunning upset of current World No.5 Andrey Rublev.
In his first Tour event since the US Open, Tiafoe opened his Indian Wells campaign with a clinical 6-4, 6-4 takedown of maverick Frenchman Benoit Paire and followed it up with a straight-set rout of fellow American Sebastian Korda in his next.
Giving his fellow countryman a tennis masterclass, the 49th-ranked Tiafoe bageled Korda in the first set and kept up his supreme hold on the contest in the second to come away with a comprehensive 6-0, 6-4.
He next faces an opponent against whom he has more career wins than losses. However, Hubert Hurkacz won the last of their head-to-head outings and is currently playing some of the best tennis he ever has, which, in essence, means that he won’t be an easy prey for the burly American this time.
