Casper Ruud v Diego Schwartzman Head to Head
The pair have played each other six times before, and Schwartzman leads their head-to-head series by four matches to two.
The Argentine won all of their first four matches – at Australian Open and the Rio Open in 2018, in Hamburg a year later, and the Cincinnati Masters last year.
However, Ruud has won both of their matches this year to date – at the Monte Carlo Masters and again in Cincinnati two months ago.

Ruud has been used to winning matches easily recently. He thrashed Camron Norrie for the loss of just two games in the final of San Diego, and, in his opening match in Indian Wells, the Spaniard Roberto Carballes-Baena took just three games of the Norwegian.
It was left to the South African, Lloyd Harris, the world number 31, to remind him that life on the ATP tour is not so easy.
The first set of their third round match on Monday night went with serve, although it was Ruud who was under the greater pressure and had to save several break points, before it eventually went to a tie-break.
It was no great surprise when Harris took it, and, on the balance of play, he deserved it.
Again, the second set initially went with serve, although Ruud flirted with danger when he had to save four break points in his second service game, And he took full advantage of his reprieve by breaking the South African and then serving out for the set.
The balance of power in the match, and Harris was broken again early in the third set. There was no coming back for Harris from there and Ruud was able to close out the match.

Schwartzman Repeats Cincinnati Victory over Evans
Having been made to struggle In turn by the qualifier Maxime Cressy in the first round here, Schwartzman lined-up a repeat of his meeting with Dan Evans of Great Britain, the world number 22, the man he beat in the Cincinnati Masters in August.
The outcome was the same – a three set victory for the Argentine – even if the way of reaching the outcome was different this time.
Schwartzman got an early break in the first set, but was unable to hold on to it. He allowed the British not only to break back, but to break him again, as he surrendered the set in disappointing fashion.
And, when he was broken in the opening game of the second set, he was staring at a third round defeat. However, ne then broke Evans to love, and that started a sequence of nine games without reply for the Argentine.
Another break gave him the set, and he sept through the third set almost unopposed, as Evans’ challenge ended with a whimper.
Ruud v Schwartzman Prediction and Tip
Historically, Schwartzman has the better head-to-head record, but Ruud has won their matches this year, both in Masters series events. Given his recent form, he is tipped to make it three in a row.
