Dan Evans v David Goffin Head to Head

Lackluster Goffin Yet To Hit Peak Form
David Goffin is struggling big time. And it is hard to digest the fact that this could be the start of his decline. At 31, his body is crumbling at a faster rate, and with one injury followed by another, there has not been light at the end of the tunnel.
Goffin spent the majority of the second half of last season addressing a knee concern, ending his 2021 campaign prematurely after the US Open. He had lost six successive matches – one of the worst sequence of results he has had to endure for some time.
Consequently, his ranking has plummeted substantially. He was ranked inside the Top 20 at this time last year, but is now teetering closer to a Top 50 exit.
Goffin’s knee problems have resurfaced at the turn of the year. He looked to be back to his vintage best momentarily when he registered back-to-back wins at the Sydney International. But he would retire mid-match in the quarterfinals against Andy Murray due to the aforementioned injury.
