Rafael Nadal v Karen Khachanov Head to Head
There have been seven previous outings between these two players and Nadal has won every single time including their previous match at the 2019 Davis Cup.

After starting out as the winner of the Melbourne Summer Set 1, Nadal has looked to continue from where he left off there and won a couple of easy rounds in this tournament already.
First Nadal defeated Marcus Giron before clinching a third round berth with a 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Yannick Hanfmann in the round of 64.
In a match which lasted two hours and 43 minutes, Nadal faced just two break-points and saved both easily while getting the better of his opponent’s serve four times. What would bother Nadal a tad is he squandered away 12 other opportunities to do the same.
What Nadal would also want to do is to improve his first serve percentage which was a lowly 54% through the match, but he would be reasonably satisfied with the 76% of the points he did win.
Nadal should not have a lot of worries against a player whom he has overcome multiple times in the past.

Khachanov Blasts Bonzi Aside
While Denis Kudla had taken a set off Khachanov in the first round of the competition, there was no respite for Benjamin Bonzi in the second as the Russian prevailed in straight sets.
Khachanov needed just over two hours to register a 6-4, 6-0, 7-5 victory against Bonzi, with 19 aces and 46 winners punctuating that facile win.
The only time in the match Khachanov faced some amount of trouble was in the third set where he dropped his serve in the fourth game – the only time he did it – and fell 1-3 behind.
The Russian came back strongly to break back and then made it a second break in the 11th game to seal the deal.
He had earlier made the final at the Adelaide International 1 and was knocked out in the quarterfinals of the second competition in the same city.
Nadal v Khachanov Prediction and Tip
Nadal should continue his domination over Khachanov with the only question being the number of sets in the encounter. We are still looking at a straight-set win for the Spaniard.
