Andy Murray v Alexander Bublik Head to Head

Andy Murray leads Alexander Bublik 1-0 in their series. The Briton defeated the Kazakh in the first round of the Wimbledon Championships in 2017.

Murrays Earns Wild Card Into Rotterdam

Andy Murray’s success in Rotterdam speaks for itself. A champion here in 2009 with that rousing three-set win over Rafael Nadal, and two quarterfinal appearances in the bank, it was only fitting he earned a wild card at the tournament for the second year in a row.

Murray is on the verge of re-entering the Top 100, which is a heroic effort in itself considering how he came so close to hanging up his racket for good in 2019.

The Briton will be playing for the first time since losing in the second round of the Australian Open. He suffered a confidence-shuttering defeat to Japanese qualifier, Taro Daniel, in Melbourne.

Just a week earlier he had reached the final of the Syndey international, so it was clear Murray left Australia desolated. Murray called it a tough loss, and it posed more questions rather than answers regarding his long-term future in the game.

Bublik Wins Maiden Title In Montpellier

In his fifth attempt, Alexander Bublik broke the hoodoo and won his first ATP title with a rousing win over top seed Alexander Zverev at the recently-concluded Montpellier Open.

Bublik was a serving machine in the south of France during the week, hammering over 60 aces in five matches en route to the title. Even for a player of Zverev’s abilities and indoor pedigree, he only managed to manage to break serve once in the final.

It turned out to be Bublik’s biggest win of his career ranking-wise, having never before beaten a player ranked inside the Top 5. But he did shock Zverev last year at the Rotterdam Open when the German was outside the Top 5.

The flamboyant Kazakh will have less than 48 hours to fly to Rotterdam and take the practice courts in time to face Andy Murray in a mouthwatering first-round match.

Murray v Bublik Prediction and Tip

Murray must have breathed a sigh of relief once the draw came out. Bublik is no slouch of an opponent, but he is unlikely to recover in time after the emotional toll of that title win in Montpellier less than 48 hours before this match.

Tip: Murray to win: 4/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
