Botic van de Zandschulp v Thomas Fabbiano Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between van de Zandschulp and Fabbiano at any level.

van de Zandschulp Hoping to Shake off Rotterdam Loss
He had gone into his second round match at Rotterdam Open last week against Jiri Lehecka as a heavy favourite but van de Zandschulp frittered away a one set lead to his opponent to crash out of the tournament.
With odds of 1/3 to make the quarterfinals, van de Zandschulp fell to a 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 defeat to his opponent, following on from his best-ever showing at Australian Open.
He had reached round three at the season’s first Grand Slam which, in turn, had helped him break into the top-50 on the ATP Rankings for the first time ever.
Van de Zandschulp has never played at Doha before this but then again, the 26-year-old has been a late bloomer, having been ranked 204th in the world two years ago. A solid run here in Doha will help push him up further but he will do well to shrug off the shock loss last week.

Fabbiano Waiting on First Main Draw Win of 2022
Once ranked 70th in the world, a string of poor results over the last three years have has left Fabbiano fall to 182nd on the ATP charts. And in turn, it has also forced him to feature on the Challenger circuit other than having to qualify for events like these.
This season, as a result, he hasn’t won a single main draw match at the highest level, having to remain content with a semifinal appearance at the Cleveland Challenger early February.
Fabbiano then failed in his attempt to qualify for the Dallas Open last week before surprising Joao Sousa in a qualifier here in Doha to make the main draw of the competition.
And while Fabbiano could have been worse off as far as the quality of his first round opponent is concerned, he would have to play out his skin to get the result he wants.
van de Zandschulp v Fabbiano Prediction and Tip
A one-sided match looks to be in the offing with an offer of 1/5 for van de Zandschulp winning this one. With Fabbiano struggling on hard court surfaces anyway, a straight-set win looks likely for van de Zandschulp.
Tip: van de Zandschulp to win in straight sets: 1/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
