Reilly Opelka v Adrian Mannarino Head to Head
The pair have met twice before, both matches taking place on indoor hard courts. Opelka won their match in New York in 2019, and again in Dallas last week.

Opelka Made to Work by Wildcard
Opelka went into his second round meeting with Jack Sock, the wildcard now ranked 141 in the world, full of confidence.
He had just come off the back of winning in Dallas, the third ATP title of his career, and the first since he won the event here in Delray Beach two years ago.
And, against an opponent now lowly ranked, he was expecting a comfortable passage to the quarter-finals.
It did not quite work out that way, however.
In a match largely dominated by serve, break points were initially few and far between, and it was Opelka forced to save the only one created in the first set. Sock, though, went on to win the tie-break.
Opelka responded by immediately putting the Sock serve under pressure, but the wildcard saved four break points against him, and it eventually resulted in another tie-break, which Opelka won this time.
Sock’s resistance crumbled after that and he won only one more game as Opelka closed out the match.

Mannarino Resurgence Continues
Mannarino is already liking 2022 a lot more than he enjoyed last year.
After struggling for form throughout 2021, he has responded by reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open, and then three back-to-back quarter-finals, beginning in Montpellier, followed by Dallas, and now in Delray Beach.
He had enjoyed a relatively easy first round match against the British qualifier Liam Broady, but his second round opponent, the world number 80, Brandon Nakashima was a much tougher proposition.
But, in a first set where serve was on top, he created two break points and converted the second. When, Nakashima held a break point against him next game, saved it and went on to claim the set.
The second set was much scrappier, and both men came under pressure on serve.
However, two successive breaks handed the advantage to the American, and although Mannarino got one of them back, he was broken once more, and the match was all-square again.
The momentum shifted first one way and then the other as the pair swapped breaks early in the third set, before it titled decisively in Mannarino’s favour when he broke once more, and then served out for love to seal the win.
Opelka v Mannarino Prediction and Tip
This is a repeat of their Dallas quarter-final form just a week ago. Opelka won that match in straight sets, and will start the favourite to repeat that feat.
