Pablo Carreno Busta v Jaume Munar Head to Head
They played once before and it happened last year in Marbella with Carreno Busta winning 6-1 2-6 6-4.

Good Start for Carreno Busta
Pablo Carreno Busta built on a solid year last year with a decent start this year that has him with a 8-4 record to start the year. The majority of his success, as ever, came on hard courts where he won all of his matches with one defeat on clay courts. That defeat happened in Rio de Janeiro to Fabio Fognini.
His last even was Acapulco where he ran into Marcos Giron who was able to outlast him in a very physical match. The Spanish player generally tends to play better on faster hard courts despite his prowess on clay. There is something that simply doesn’t mesh well with him on slower courts.
Even so, he is a very consistent player and it takes a very good effort to defeat him. He can serve well and he moves well which makes him a dangerous opponent in Indian Wells.

Munar Looking For Wins
Jaume Munar was long thought of as one of the best clay players coming up to professional tennis. He has a superb game for clay generally prefers to play on that surface however this year it’s been quite different. His record on the surface is 3-4 while his hard court record is 6-3 which is unusual.
That difference is mostly due to a strong showing in Australia which was not expected. His preferred hard court usually tends to be on the slower side but he enjoys playing aggressively so that’s maybe why. Indian Wells is an interesting proposition for him as he demonstrated he can play well here.
In the first round he took down teenager Jungchen Shang but that’s not that impressive. Against Pablo Carreno Busta it will be very different but he proved he can play with him.
Carreno Busta v Munar Prediction and Tip
Carreno Buta is the better player by far however Munar can make things complicated for you. He is well capable of playing long rallies and even prefers them. Indian Wells will allow him to do that and if Carreno Busta does not plant well he might be in trouble.
With all that said, I do think that Carreno will be able to find solutions. Their only previous match was very close and things can happen that way once again. I still think that the older Spaniard will get the win rather comfortably because he has more talent.
Tip: Carreno Busta to win in straight sets: 11/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
