Fritz Searching for Australian Open Form
Fritz will be disappointed with his performances post Australian Open as he lost in Dallas and Acapulco to players ranked lower than him and had a chance to make a decent run to the later stages of a tournament.
In Dallas, Fritz lost to Giron in 3-sets 6-4 3-6 7-6(3) despite being the top-seed and will feel like a missed opportunity to lift some silverware for Fritz. In Acapulco, Fritz lost to Nishioka as the 7th seed, losing out 3-6 6-4 6-2 to the Japanese player.
The most significant result for Fritz is the 4th round of the Australian Open this year, where he defeated Marterer, Tiafoe, and Bautista Agut on his way to the round-of-16 before losing to Tsitsipas in a 5-set thriller.
A win against Majchrzak will book a spot in the third round and set up a tie with either Carreno-Busta or Munar.

Majchrzak Opens With Win Against Bedene
Majchrzak opened against Slovakian Bedene in the opening round, posting a 6-1 7-5 win over his opponent to set up the tie with Fritz.
Throughout the match Majchrzak hit 6 aces and delivered an impressive 68% first serve percentage, winning 81% of points behind the first serve losing just 7 points behind the first serve.
The Pole also won 71% of points behind the second serve, facing just one break point the entire match, which was saved, Majchrzak went unbroken the entire match.
At 6-5 in the second set, Majchrzak was able to get the crucial break to book his spot into the next round, sealing the match on his first match point opportunity.
At the start of February, the 26-year-old posted an impressive run to the last-4 in Pune defeating Clarke, Halys, and Musetti along the way to the semi-finals before losing out to Ruusuvori 6-3 7-6(0) to end his run.
Fritz v Majchrzak Prediction and Tip
An interesting match that is difficult to predict and these two have never played each other. It will likely take a few games maybe even a set for both of them to adjust to the way they strike the ball which could result in a hard-fought close yet.
Once Fritz has accustomed himself to Majchrzak’s game he will likely start to dictate play and should advance to the next round.
Tip: Fritz to win & Over 21.5 games: 7/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
