This is the first meeting between the two teenagers on the WTA Tour.

Martic, Seeking Redemption in the Valley
World No. 79 Petra Martic has been struggling with her form for the better part of the last few seasons. She has dropped in the rankings owing to a lack of results and is desperately seeking a way back to the top.
Once a former world number 14 and 2019 French Open quarterfinalist, Martic has never been short on skills or experience. The 31-year-old has delivered some impressive results over the course of her career and is not a player who can be underestimated.
Her recent form, however, may suggest otherwise. Martic lost consecutive opening-round bouts in her two Australian events; she followed it with a second-round appearance in St. Petersburg and Monterrey. In these two events, the Croatian fell respectively to Elise Mertens and Marie Bouzkova.
At Indian Wells, Martic has played some of the best tennis in recent months. With straight-set victories over Anna Bondar and the 19th seed Tamara Zidansek, she has won multiple matches in a tournament for the first time since the WTA Parma last May.

Raducanu Outlasts Garcia
World No. 13 and 19-year-old Emma Raducanu enjoyed a bye into round two in the BNP Paribas Open. The number 11 seed overcame Caroline Garcia with 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 to clinch her second victory of the 2022 season.
The current US Open champion has had a muted spell so far; she lost to Elena Rybakina in Sydney while in the Melbourne Slam, the Brit succumbed to Danka Kovinic in the second round.
Raducanu also featured in Guadalajara a couple of weeks ago and played Daria Saville in the opener. The match went to three sets and lasted for well over three hours before the teenager retired from the game with an injury.
Since that defining run at the Flushing Meadows last September, Raducanu is yet to prove her mettle or consistency. The fact that she lacks momentum may not bode well for her.
Raducanu v Martic Prediction and Tip
Martic has got an excellent opportunity here to reach the fourth round. Raducanu is young, inexperienced, and slightly inconsistent; although Martic isn’t in the best of the form either, her superior experience ought to account for something here.
At the very least, we can expect the Croat to put up a solid fight and give her adversary a run for her money.
Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
