Federico Delbonis v Jaume Munar Head to Head
There have been three main draw matches between these two players on the ATP circuit and Delbonis leads 2-1. That said, the two other times they met, on the Challenger circuit and in the qualifiers of the Cincinnati Masters of 2020, it was Munar who came away a winner.

Other than a semifinal appearance at the Buenos Aires Open, Delbonis has had a season to forget so far.
The world number 35 fell to bad form since that competition in Argentina, winning the first round in Rio and losing the next five matches since then. This included three matches on clay with his latest loss coming in the first round of the Marrakesh Open last week.
For a player who has relied on his clay court performances to jump up the rankings ladder, his record this year on red dirt will be a shocker too.
Never since 2011 has Delbonis ended the season with more losses than defeats on this surface, but with just four wins and five defeats on clay this year and form firmly against him, the Argentine looks to be in that danger.

Munar Wins Seven in a Row
Sure it hasn’t been at the highest level but Munar will enter this encounter on the back of some excellent form on clay.
The 24-year-old won the Marbella Challenger in the first week of April without dropping a set, and then went on to register a couple of victories over Hugo Nys and Oscar Otte to clinch a spot in the main draw of this competition.
At the highest level this season, a couple of successive wins, in Melbourne and Indian Wells have been his best performance but on clay he hasn’t proceeded to more than an opening round win.
The last time he featured in Monte-Carlo was in 2019, making it to the second round. Can he translate his form on the Challenger circuit on to the ATP tour?
