Pablo Carreno Busta v Karen Khachanov Head to Head

Karen Khachanov and Pablo Carreno Busta have clashed seven times in their careers, with the Russian holding a narrow 4-3 lead. However, on clay, it is the Spaniard who leads 2-0 – winning their 2021 Monte-Carlo showdown in straight sets and their very first meeting in 2017, also in Monte Carlo.

Khachanov, who has lost in the first round in three of his last four visits to Rome improves on that peculiar record and will face a first big test when he takes on Pablo Carreno Busta.

The 25-year-old’s fourth clay-court tournament this season has yielded just a third main draw win on the ATP Tour. Khachanov, however, could re-enter the world’s s Top 20  if e

Carreno Busta v Khachanov Prediction and Tip

Khachanov started the year with Top 20 aspirations in mind. He could break that barrier in the coming weeks, but he has struggled mightily to impose himself on clay this season. Carreno Busta should pounce.
