Diego Schwartzman v Grigor Dimitrov Head to Head
They played four times before with Dimitrov leading 3-1. The most recent one came in Madrid where Dimitrov smashed Schwartzman 6-0 6-3.

Diego Schwartzman needed almost four hours to battle past a very annoying playing in Jaume Munar but he was able to do it. Part of it was his excellent stamina which is rivalled by very few players on the Tour.
It took him a while in that match. His baseline level did not change much as each set was quite similar stat-wise. But his opponent fell off a cliff as the match went on. In the 2nd Munar ended up with 10 more errors than Schwartzman and it was the key.
Schwartzman is having a very good year with 18-7 and he’s reached the quarterfinal here before so he will try do that again. Unfortunately, he faces a player that is quite hard on him and he beat him only once. Their recent match went rather badly for Diego so he should be motivated.

Dimitrov On Fire
Grigor Dimitrov is playing a superb French Open at the moment smashing two opponents rather easily in two rounds. His latest victim was Borna Coric whom Grigor dismissed 6-0 6-4 6-3 behind 30 winners and 17 errors.
Coric is far from good tennis with some slight shoulder discomfort so the win was never in question but the ease with which he deals with these players is impressive. He is playing with a lot of confidence and that’s thanks to some solid play in the previous weeks.
He had some solid showings in Paris before so he will try to replicate that. Taking on Schwartzman should give him confidence because he dominated the matchup recently. He only needs to keep up with the fitness of Schwartzman and not allow himself too many long rallies.
If he is able to do that he might score the 4th win over Schwartzman and his 2nd this year.
Schwartzman v Dimitrov Prediction and Tip
So I’m going to back Dimitrov here simply because I believe he has more talent and because he played better this year overall and recently. Dimitrov has all the tools to beat Schwartzman and the courts are playing faster than ever before which suits him.
If he serves well and plays well from the baseline he will win this one. I expect him to do so back the Bulgarian in four sets.
