Magda Linette v Tereza Martincova
Both, Linette and Martincova took their time to get going in their opening round matches but managed to complete their victories in straight sets in the end.
The interesting thing here is Linette’s form on clay in general makes her a bookmakers’ favourite in this one but that’s where we believe things could be different is Martincova has shown what she is capable of on grass.
Last season was the prime example of this as the Czech player made it to the quarterfinals at both Nottingham and Birmingham and then entered the third round at Wimbledon with wins over Alison Riske and Nadia Podoroska.
Which is why odds of 11/10 for her win here sound quite tempting.
Tip: Martincova to win: 11/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Belinda Bencic v Anna Kalinskaya
Sure, Bencic is a far superior player and Kalinskaya hasn’t done much damage against top players to merit any kind of expectations from the perspective of a shock win. And Kalinskaya is also coming off a rather under-par clay court season even by her standards.
Where Kalinskaya might surprise is with regards to her play on grass, where she has looked comfortable in the past.
That could give her a chance to run Bencic close in one of the sets which in turn makes for an interesting games handicap market.
Tip: Games Handicap Kalinskaya +5.5: 10/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Matteo Berrettini v Radu Albot
This is an interesting one from the perspective of Berrettini being a very obvious favourite here having made the Wimbledon final last year but at the same time coming back from an injury layoff.
Players do tend to take their time to get going and that’s also why he is as long as 3/10 to win this, which we think are odds worth grabbing for a Berrettini victory. That said, it might be slightly risky to back Berrettini for a straight-set win, making it a conundrum for sure.
We can expect this to be a slow start for Berrettini though and a match that could see at least one close set – a 7-5 or a 7-6 scoreline of sorts. The games market, as a result, looks like a good one to go for.
Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 8/15 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
