Alejandro Davidovich Fokina v Albert Ramos Vinolas Head to Head
While overall they have faced off three times, their only main draw match at the highest level came at the semifinal stage of the Estoril Open last season. Ramos-Vinolas won that in straight sets to advance to the final en route another title win.

Since reaching the semifinal at the Estoril Open in Apil, Ramos Vinolas has struggled to get going. And that’s been on his most favourite surface, clay, which could be bit of a concern to the Spaniard.
Ramos-Vinolas has gone on to lose five of his next six matches, and the only time he did win one was against Thanasi Kokkinakis in the first round of French Open.
That won’t be good news for the Spaniard given his struggles on grass anyway. In the 21 career matches he has played on this surface, Ramos Vinolas has won just six, the last of which came in 2017.

Davidovich Fokina Hoping to Recreate Monte-Carlo Magic
If Ramos-Vinolas is probably worried about his recent form collapse, Davidovich Fokina has an overall forgettable season. Barring his run at the Monte-Carlo Masters where the Spaniard made it all the way to the final, he has barely won anything.
In fact, if one were to remove those five wins from his kitty of victories this season, Davidovich Fokina has won just seven matches and lost 14. A lot of those losses have come on clay which makes it more puzzling given his overall record on the red dirt has been solid.
On grass, Davidovich Fokina will be tested even if it’s against someone who has himself not done well.
Because on this surface, Davidovich Fokina has played in just four career matches and lost three of them. With that kind of experience, it would be interesting to see how he goes against his countryman.
