Jabeur Begins Her Grass Swing
World No. 4 Ons Jabeur will be playing for the first time since her shocking first round exit from the French Open.
The Tunisian had been in pretty good form leading up to the clay court major, as she finished runner-up in Charleston, won the title in Madrid and finished runner-up in Rome as well.
She also has four quarterfinal finishes this season, thanks to which she has an overall season record of 25-9.
A solid grass court player, Jabeur has a 16-9 record on the surface. She won her maiden career title on grass last year, by beating Daria Kasatkina in the Birmingham Open final.
She was also a quarterfinalist at Wimbledon last season, and enjoyed a 10-2 record on the surface in 2021. Can she deliver similar results on the surface this year?

Injuries Have Hampered Muchova’s Season
Facing Jabeur will be the Czech Republic’s Karolina Muchova, who had to retire from her French Open third round match against Amanda Anisimova after injuring her ankle in the third set.
Muchova had taken the first set but was trailing 7-6, 2-6, 0-3, when the injury prevented her from continuing further.
It’s been an injury-hit season for the Czech, who missed all the tournaments before the Miami Open due to an abdomen injury.
But the world No. 81 will be hoping to be fit for for the grass swing. She is very good on the surface and two Wimbledon quarterfinals from two main draw appearances testify that. But she is yet to win a tour-level match on grass outside Wimbledon.
Last year she was knocked out in the opening round in Berlin. Can she win her opener this year?
Jabeur v Muchova Prediction and Tip
Jabeur will look to put her French Open disappointment behind her and make a good start in Berlin. She is the top seed and will be expected to make at least the final four. Expect her to win the opener, but she will have to work hard for it.
Tip: Jabeur to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
