In-Form Otte Rolling On

Oscar Otte had a noted Wimbledon last year reaching the 2nd round and nearly beating Andy Murray in an epic 5-setter. He lost that match but the confidence he found there was used well, as Otte finished the year off strong getting a new career-high.

He continued playing well this year and his ranking improved even more. He’s not inside the top 40 and playing very well on grass. The overall season is pretty strong 20-17 with the grass part of it being 6-2. Otte plays a very aggressive style and he doesn’t think a lot.

He’s quite similar to Medvedev in the sense that they play as they feel. Otte just goes with it and if it works great, if not he’ll lose.

Lately, though it’s been quite good with some noted performances. After all, he rolled his compatriot losing only a handful on games. On grass, that’s really tough to do so he’s in great shape.

Maiden Round Two for Harrison

Christian Harrison played only once in the main draw of Wimbledon before and it came in 2018. He lost in the opening round that year after getting in through the qualifiers. He played well in the qualifiers once again getting to the main draw and finally he got to round two.

It came after a win over Jay Clarke, a native British player who unlikely the tradition is rather poor on grass. He proved it once more with a poor effort overall losing to Harrison who did his part and played well. It was a struggle to get into the main draw with a couple of close matches.

Harrison is the typical American player with a strong serve and decent groundstrokes. He can play well on this surface but there is a level cap.

A good player will probably beat him most often than not and his opponent is far superior in talent. It will be tough but we’ll see how he does.

Otte v Harrison Prediction and Tip

So obviously Otte is far better on grass and generally a far better player. He’s 6-2 on grass this year with a couple of dominating wins. He dominated in round one as well and to keep it short, I think he’ll do it again. There is nothing Harrison can do here in my humble opinion.

Tip: Otte to win in straight sets: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
