Paula Badosa v Simona Halep

Paula Badosa and Simona Halep played once so far and it happened this year in Madrid where Halep destroyed Badosa 6-3 6-1. I don’t think tomorrow will be quite a thrashing like that but I do think Halep is the favourite. For one Halep actually won this event in the past and has played well on grass before.

Badosa did not although she’s playing well this year and that’s what matters. Both of them have had superb years so far and have looked good here. Halep’s road was a bit easier than Badosa’s so far and while largely cruising in most matches she did show some vulnerability.

Badosa on the other hand looked quite sturdy overall with the win over Petra Kvitova being particularly impressive. I see this as a very close match. Most likely we will see three sets but I do expect Halep to have the upper hand. That Madrid matchup proved a blueprint for her.

If she can use that experience and apply it well to the grass she should be able to win this match. Experience in playing on grass matters and I can’t simply forget that Halep is a former champion here.

Tip: Halep to Win, Over 20.5 Games: 21/20 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Nick Kyrgios v Brandon Nakashima

Nick Kyrgios had a very dramatic match against Stefanos Tsitsipas where he experienced everything. He played super well, he outplayed his opponent, he got hit on purpose with a ball and he had a bad tumble. Neither of that mattered much as he produced another strong effort to win a match.

He’s up to 10-3 on the grass season so far with a very good chance for the quarterfinals. The opponent is one he never faced before and one that can play well on grass. Nakashima played plenty of tennis on the grass holding an identical 10-3 record on the surface as Kyrgios.

He’s not as good on the surface as the Aussie player but he has a powerful serve and plays rather well from the baseline. That’s all you need to be solid on grass and he’s proved to be just that. Even so, Kyrgios has much more pedigree on grass.

One can’t deny his superb level on this surface over the years. It’s his best surface according to many and he likes playing on it. Wimbledon is important for him and expect him to take this seriously. In those circumstances, take Kyrgios in straight sets.

Tip: Kyrgios to win in straight sets: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Rafael Nadal v Botic van de Zandschulp

These players faced each other once before and it happened at Roland Garros where Nadal largely cruised easily 6-3 6-2 6-4. The Spaniard has looked quite shaky early on at Wimbledon but played by far his best match against Sonego. The Italian did not have a chance and if Nadal can keep up that level he’ll be dangerous.

His opponent, van de Zandschulp, is a very solid tennis player but he’s not at that level to challenge the best in the world seriously. He plays well on grass and he proved it by reaching the 4th round here but neither of his opponents were that strong.

It was the draw that made it easier for him to get here but still, he can be dangerous if the serve keeps going in. That will be the key to the match. If the Dutch player can keep a high-level serving-wise he’ll stay in the match. Nadal has shown weakness in being attacked in prior rounds and Botic loves to do that.

Overall I do think that Nadal should win this match comfortably. The skill gap is too huge and with the level shown against Sonego, I think he’s figured it out again. Back the Spaniard to keep it in three sets.

Tip: Nadal to win in straight sets: 10/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
