Novak Djokovic v Cameron Norrie
Novak Djokovic will have a tricky affair in his Wimbledon semifinal against Cameron Norrie. While tricky, it might not be that hard because the Serbian is a way better tennis player. He proved it in their only clash so far, last year in Turin. Djokovic won 6-2 6-1 and while Norrie will certainly give more this time around, the win should not come into question.
Djokovic played a very balanced Wimbledon so far despite facing some issues in a couple of matches. The Sinner match was perfect proof of how Djokovic usually plays those matches. He took some time to figure out his opponent and once he did it was a landslide.
I expect a landslide in this one from the start because Norrie just doesn’t now have enough talent to take this one. The serve is okay, the forehand is solid but the backhand is a glaring weakness. The movement is okay and he can play for three days but so can Djokovic.
I believe Djokovic will be focused in order to avoid any complications and to keep the crowd out of this one. They will rally behind Norrie but with time, Djokovic will find solutions. Expect him to keep this in three sets.
Tip: Djokovic to win in straight sets: 11/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
Kichenok/Ostapenko v Krejcikova/Siniakova
Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova have been the best doubles pairing last year and they confirmed it at the WTA Finals in Guadalajara winning the event. They finally returned to playing together after Krejcikova got back to full health. ANd they’re playing well again reaching the final.
They’re the 2nd seeds after all and they will be going against the 4th seeds Ostapenko and Kichenok. This is a very interesting matchup between these two players but the more coherent and objectively better team are the Czech players.
They have won majors before and they would certainly love to replicate the success from 2018 when they won the event together. So we have them playing well, being very comfortable with each other having won Wimbledon before. Kichenok/Ostapenko started playing this year together and they already got a few notable results.
They are a good pairing however they er not as good as their opponent. In a match where a couple of points might be crucial, that seems problematic to overcome. I think the Czech players are better and I will back them to win this. We might see three sets but I think they will keep it in two.
Tip: Krejcikova/Siniakova to win in straight sets: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
