Played under the auspices of the ATP World Tour 250 series, the Gijon Open will be hosted at Palacio de Deportes in Gijón, Spain.
It will be played on indoor hard court surfaces, and will carry a prize money of $612,000. 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams will form a part of the Gijon Open.
The tournament was introduced by ATP as a replacement for some of the competitions which are typically held in China after the latter were cancelled because of the pandemic. For now, Gijon Open has a one-year license.
