Frances Tiafoe v Christopher Eubanks Head to Head
They played once before and it happened last year at the US Open. Tiafoe won in four sets.

Frances Tiafoe has not had the best of years but the American played fairly strong tennis during the North American stretch last year and he hopes to continue that. Atlanta was a solid start for him as he won two matches eventually losing to finalist Jenson Brooksby.
Tiafoe is a player that plays for the crowd more than for himself and it’s probably why he never took off with his talent but it’s just the way he is. Widely beloved among fans for his attitude on the court, Tiafoe is capable of playing serious tennis and at times he does.
His 18-15 record is decent but it’s nowhere near his 42-17 record last year. It’s hard to say what went wrong but he certainly hopes this part of the season can get him back on the right track. Hard courts are his best surface and he played well in Washington before.
If he takes this matchup seriously he should be good to go.

Superb Win for Eubanks
Christopher Eubanks faced Benjamin Bonzi on the grass in Newport recently and the French player proved better. A couple of weeks later on the hard courts of Washington, it was Eubanks who proved better. The match was a very good one with Bonzi taking the first set and the American coming back to win it.
Eubanks is a tall player with a powerful serve. Everything he does on the court is built upon that and if he serves well he’ll play well. If he doesn’t, well that’s a problem. Against Bonzi he largely served well hitting 16 aces and winning over 80 % of his first serve points.
That’s his recipe for success and he can’t win matches any other way, especially not against players that are more talented than him. Bonzi is more talented and Tiafoe is certainly more talented.
He’ll need another serving clinic to have a chance and perhaps he pulls it off.
Tiafoe v Eubanks Prediction and Tip
Tiafoe beat him last year at the US Open but it was anything but easy. Eubanks even managed to win one set so the American will need to be alert.
He can’t play loose or allow things to go out of hand because the last thing he needs is Eubanks finding confidence. If he does he might start putting up a serving clinic and then it will be very hard. I’ll trust Tiafoe to do well.
