Miomir Kecmanovic v Jordan Thompson Head to Head
The pair have played each other four times before, and Kecmanovic has won on each occasion, on a mixture of surfaces. He won on grass in Antalya in 2019, and then three times the following year. On hard courts in Doha and Delray Beach, and on clay in Kitzbuhel.

Kecmanovic will be glad to be back on hard courts, although having suffered two first round defeats on grass, he did reach the third round of Wimbledon before losing to compatriot Novak Djokovic.
Nevertheless, he will be looking now to pick up where he left off earlier in the year in the Americas, having reached successive semi-finals at Indian Wells and in Miami earlier this year.
For all that, he has only even won a single ATP title, and that was two years go in Kitzbuhel. The Serb will be looking to improve his trophy haul in the months and years to come.
He has not played since that defeat in London and was given a bye in the first round in Mexico.

Thompson Overwhelms German
Although Thompson has enjoyed success at the Challenger level recently, winning in Surbiton and then following up with a runners-up spot In Nottingham, his form on the main tour has been disappointing this year, and he has now dropped out of the top 100.
His best result came back in Dallas in February when he made the last eight, but he made a winning start to his campaign in Los Cabos with a one-sided victory over the German, Yannick Hanfmann, the world number 139.
The opening games of the match went with serve, although both men had break points saved.
However, Thompson then broke the German and he never looked back. He reeled off eight games in succession to wrap up the match quickly, with Hanfmann failing to get on the scoreboard in the second set.
Kecmanovic v Thompson Prediction and Tip
Not only the difference in world rankings but the weight of history is against Thompson in this match. He has lost to the Serb every time they have played before, and there is little reason to suggest the result will be different this time.
