Shuai Zhang v Cristina Bucsa Head to Head
The pair have played each other twice before, with Zhang winning each time in straight sets. Her first victory came last year on the clay of Palermo, and her second on grass at Nottingham two months ago.

Zhang first played in this tournament back in 2011, but she has never been further than the second round in Canada.
However, she dispelled the myth that she could only win on Chinese soil by winning the Lyon Open in March , her first victory for more than four years.
She followed that up by reaching the final on grass in Birmingham, where she lost to the Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia.
A third round appearance at Wimbledon followed, and then two successive second round exits in Budapest and Palermo.
Her stay in San Jose was fleeting, however, losing in the first round to Madison Keys.

Bucsa Qualifies in Toronto for the First Time
Bucsa qualified for a major main draw for the first time in her career at the US Open last year, but she did not get beyond the opening round.
She since qualified for the Australian and French Opens this year, but suffered the same fate.
Although more often to be found on the Challenger tour, she has made it a habit in recent months to make it through qualification tournaments to make the main draws of senior tournaments.
That is exactly what she has done in Toronto this time, beating first the experienced Swede Rebecca Peterson and then compatriot Nuria Parrizas-Diaz.
The next stage for Bucsa is to start winning matches against the likes of Zhang.
